Our range is on state property and our club takes care of the maintenance so the state park builds us up quite a bit plus word of mouth and flyers.
Recently we had a big bbq at the range and had a good showing. letting new prospects know that we are spending their dues money on the members and that we are grass roots all the way. everyone seems to like the straight in your face approach. (no gimmicks)
We have about 10 members that started with a compound and converted to trad. they have all said that they were tired of too much high tech and enjoyed the challenge of traditional. so i dont think it will ever die like in the past as long as we keep talking and working with the young.
I'm not sure how to answer that because it is a simple art that takes a lot of work and help from others
I'm sure you know that illinois is mainly a whitetail state and up until a few years ago the world record was from upstate.
